1. Closed Session pursuant to the Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, as follows: • Section 2.2-3711(A)(8) - Consultation with legal counsel regarding specific legal Matters requiring the provision of legal advice, namely concerning the Fincastle District, including the Courthouse Construction project. 5:30 p.m. Call the meeting back to order and adopt post-closed session resolution by roll- call vote. Pledge of Allegiance and moment of silence.
2. Review and consider approval of courthouse settlement agreement (Lockaby) ADJOURNMENT *Citizens who do not wish to attend in person may listen to the meeting by calling 1-301-715-8592 or 1-929-205-6099 and entering the meeting ID 875 8155 0045. The line will be open beginning at 5:25 p.m.
Dear BCRC Members:
What a mandate we had Monday night. Congratulations to those elected to the Executive Committee and Magisterial District Chairs.
I want to thank all of YOU, the members that turned out last night and made this election a resounding success!
When I ran for this position, I had a vision to change things in the County.
I know that you and all of our citizens are tired of the high taxes, reckless spending, unbridled expansion, crony capitalism, deteriorating unsafe school facilities and "woke" school indoctrination.
Thanks to your participation, we can now move forward and accomplish an aggressive agenda. over the next two years:We have an election in 2025 for two boards of supervisors, Amsterdam District and Buchanan District. We want to recruit and support fiscally responsible, moral individuals to run for these positions. We will also have elections for two School Board members in Amsterdam and Buchanan districts.
We need to recruit and promote candidates who will promise the following:
- Return parents’ rights and re-institute a strong PTA.
- Fight against the school systems woke indoctrination agendas of DEI, CRT, transgenderism and homosexuality
- Support teaching of "real" history, civics and government.
- Fight against the pornography within our children's books.
- Support more community involvement in their schools
We have aggressive but achievable goals:
-We want increased membership
– 1000 members in two years.
- Create a young Republicans Club to train the next generation in understanding how our government shouldwork.
- Offer scholarships for young Republicans who wish to enter the political arena.
- Bring God (Christ) back to schools, yes it is legal and we have a plan to do it!
- Election integrity – eliminate voting machines and return to paper ballots.
- Help elect a Republican Senator to remove Tim Cain!
- Help Donald Trump have a huge election turnout in Botetourt County…to help return the USA to greatness and help him destroy the lawless deep state.
Moving forward, we have an exciting and educational family friendly roster of events in the planning stage. We will keep everyone informed, via email, social and print media. Mainly, I want to ask for YOU to continue to participate in helping us to make the changes we all desire. This includes attendance at BCRC meetings, Board of Supervisors, and School Board Meetings. If we show up in numbers, that WILL get everyone's attention.
We also have many resources to call on so that any situation that may come up with you or family members, please let us know and chances are we can bring those resources to bear on your issue.
Lastly, I want you to know I am available to answer questions, and hear your criticisms. So, any time you need to ask or vent, send me an email, I read them all and will respond personally.
Again, thank you so much for all of your support, this was not my victory, this was OUR victory and this was GOD's victory.

Hello fellow Botetourt residents,
Welcome to the new "Better Botetourt" website. There will be many contributors to keep you, the residents of Botetourt county informed on actions taken by the county and what those actions will mean for you. You will be able to subscribe here to a monthly newsletter which recaps the county Board of Supervisors' meetings and other pertinent information. In conjunction with Linda Rottman, I will be providing what you need to know each month in this newsletter. Once subscribed, this newsletter will arrive in your email inbox on Thursday following the Tuesday board of supervisors’ meeting.
In addition, on this site you will find informative and educational articles, videos, interviews, a county calendar, an occasional poll, and you will be able to contact Better Botetourt with questions and concerns you may have.
This site is a work in progress. Please let us know what you like and what more you would like to see on this website.
